Delete your data
You can have your Savanna Fleet account and the data held with it deleted. This page explains what happens, how long it takes, and the one thing we are obliged to keep.

First, which one are you?
Savanna Fleet accounts belong to a transport company. What can be deleted, and who can ask, depends on whether you are a member of one or the person who owns it.
You are a member of a company
You are a manager, dispatcher, accountant or driver whose employer invited you. You can have your user accountdeleted. You cannot delete the company’s operational records — the trips, the fuel purchases, the invoices — because those belong to the business, not to you, and your employer needs them.
The fastest route is to ask an administrator at your company to remove you, which takes effect immediately. If you would rather not, or nobody is available, write to us using the request below and we will act on it.
You own the company account
You can close the whole account. That deletes every record belonging to the company — vehicles, drivers, trips, documents, photographs and all user accounts within it, including your own.
How to make the request
Email support@savannafleet.com from the address your account uses, with the subject “Data deletion request”. Or send the same through the contact form. Tell us:
- The email address on the account.
- Your company name.
- Whether you want your account deleted or the whole company account closed.
We reply within 7 days to confirm we have you, and complete the deletion within 30 days. You do not need the app installed to make the request, and there is no charge.
We will verify that the request really comes from you before deleting anything — usually by replying to the address on the account. For a request to close a whole company account, we confirm with the registered owner first. Someone else asking to erase your fleet’s history is exactly what this step is for.
What is deleted
- Your name, email address and password.
- Your company memberships, role and any individual permissions.
- Your push notification tokens, so no phone you signed in on can be alerted again. This happens as soon as the account goes.
- Your notification preferences.
- Your conversations with the AI assistant.
- On a company closure: every vehicle, trailer, driver, client, supplier, trip, corridor, fuel purchase, toll record, allowance, invoice and ledger entry, along with every uploaded photograph and document.
Deletion covers our live database and our file storage. Encrypted backups roll over on their own schedule, so a copy can persist in a backup for up to 90 days after the live data is gone. Backups are not readable in day-to-day use and are never used to restore a deleted account.
What we keep, and why
Two things survive a deletion, and both are narrow.
- Audit entries.Savanna Fleet records who changed a significant record and when. Deleting an account does not erase the fact that a change happened, because that would let anyone rewrite a fleet’s history by deleting an account afterwards. The entry keeps an identifier, not your name or contact details.
- Billing and tax records. Invoices we have issued to a company are kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires. This is a legal obligation, not a choice.
Nothing kept under either heading is used to contact you or to build a profile, and neither can be used to restore the account.
A note for drivers
If you drive for a company that uses Savanna Fleet, your employer keeps a driver record about you — licence, medical certificate, bank details for wages. That record is your employer’s, and employment law usually requires them to keep it. Deleting your login does not delete it, and we cannot delete it on your behalf without their instruction. Ask your employer; if you write to us, we will pass the request to them and help them answer it.
Changed your mind?
Tell us before the deletion runs and we will stop it. Afterwards there is nothing to restore — that is the point of the exercise — and you would need to be invited again as a new user.
